i don't know, but perhaps some people get a kick outta being hostile AND sarcastic towards certain people.
if someone has explicitly offended you or did something that you don't like, please be nice enough to tell that person where he/she has gone wrong and not resort to childish antics like ignoring that person, lambasting really rude words on him/her, or say really sarcastic stuffs. how on earth is he/she gonna know why he/she is being treated that way without you revealing any reason? then of course that person would continue doing what you don't like, then the more you get pissed at him/her, blah blah. the vicious cycle continues.
if you do not like that person, say it out loud. or do you not have the guts to do so?
we're all adults already, can't things be solved in a more amicable way? got problem, voice it out, no need to beat around the bush. not everyone has as much time as you to play mind games.
another thing is, in the virtual world of internet, some people really need to learn what is 'online etiquette'. it's precisely because the internet world is SO virtual, people gotta realise that different people interpret the same sentences differently.
"I'm SO happy that you FINALLY got what you wanted HUH!"
on the first read, the above sentence may sound sarcastic. try reading it another way in real life, it may exude another kind of emotion altogether (excitement, elated). caps may emphasize words and amplify their meanings, but when they're used in a negative way, chances are you're gonna offend people or rub them the wrong way. the above may be a bad example, but what i wanna say is, it's precisely because you never know whether the reader interprets your meaning the way you intended it to, thus you should be wise enough in the usage of caps and certain words so as to minimise conflicts and misunderstandings. not everyone is a psychic, thus you cannot assume that your readers know what you actually meant.
give proper respect where and when it's due. do not undo to others what you do not want them to undo to you.
others do not owe you a living, and thus should not be rubbish cans for you to dump your trashy behaviour into.
