Didn’t know Yangtze Cinema has such a past…

It was known for screening the latest and some of the best martial arts film from HK in the 70s.. then packed wif those young bruce lee fanatics after sch n during weekends.. after business at Pearl’s Centre turn kns during the 80s, the cinema shut down.. until dunno how many yrs later they input amusement park into the cinema area.. however, it was graded unsafe by s’pore govt due to no proper fire escape plan so the amusement park no more… in 1991, thanks to Malvis Vision Pte Ltd, a movie distribution company, for leasing out the cinema halls to companies like Shaw, Cathay and Eng Wah to screen PG and G movies.. from the 90s, due to competition, in order to survive it has now ‘specialise in’ RA shows...
